Film fans of all ages can once again look forward to an exciting festival this year with numerous films from all corners of the globe. We are already in the process of preparing to present another unforgettable festival with many exciting highlights from 25 September.
As viewers have come to expect from SCHLiNGEL, 2024 will also feature a large selection of international short and feature films, exciting discussions with national and international film guests, an insight into faraway countries and other cultures directly from the cinema seat and much more.

The latest news about SCHLiNGEL
We are also active beyond our own festival period in order to further promote children's and youth film. Among other things, we are travelling with German productions to other international film festivals, be it in India, Japan or Sweden.
We also use the time throughout the year to find suitable films that we want to show on the big screen in Chemnitz in autumn and to regularly exchange ideas with the film and festival industry. Take a look at our year-round activities!

This was the Industry Forum 2023
Also for the 28th International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences SCHLiNGEL a highlight took place with the INDUSTRY FORUM. In recent years, the event has been able to firmly establish itself as an industry meeting place for the children's and youth film scene for professional audiences.
